Smiya Rehan

My name is Smiya (pronounced Sam-yah) and I am a mother who found CST after experiencing crippling back pain. I previously delivered medical clinical trial software training in over 25 countries and worked in scientific research. Completing a science degree 18 years ago, I have always been interested in maintaining optimal health. I trained with the Craniosacral Therapy Educational Trust in London. I am insured and registered with the Craniosacral Therapy Association and adhere to their professional standards and ethics. I have seen first hand how Craniosacral Therapy has had a profound effect during my two pregnancies (one emergency caesarean and one natural home birth). The therapy continues to support the health of my two children.

MY AIM: To bring each client to as complete a state of wholeness and ease, as it is possible for them at that particular time.

Clients are often surprised that a light touch can produce such profound results. Although my touch is light, it is not superficial. The light contact interacts with the body rhythms in a focused way, facilitating a return to healthy functioning. I recommend an initial session so that you can get a sense of this deep profound work and how I will work with you. CST is not a quick fix; it’s a process of getting in touch with the core patterns within your system and allowing them to release over a period of time. In some cases symptoms can go immediately. My experience is that it usually takes 3 treatments to get some improvement. Deeper patterns of discomfort may take longer to be released and in such cases 5 sessions are more usual. After improvement, it can be very beneficial to have further treatments from every 2-4 months, to once a year. If required, a free initial 30-minute consultation is available for us to meet and give us time to decide if we can work together.
