Karen Pelling
Background
I have been providing high quality osteopathic care in the East Grinstead area since 1990. I am a member of the General Osteopathic Council and am actively involved in osteopathic education, working one day per week as a clinic tutor and examiner at the European School of Osteopathy in Maidstone, Kent.
Therapies
Osteopathy
Osteopaths are skilled in assessing the mechanics of the whole body, in particular the spine and joints. They use a variety of manipulative and soft tissue techniques to restore ease of movement and function to the affected areas. Conditions commonly treated include:
- Back pain
- Neck pain
- Headaches and migraine
- Frozen shoulder
- Tennis elbow
- Hip and knee pain, including pain from arthritic changes
- Foot pain
- Soft tissue and muscular injuries
- Sports injuries
- RSI
- Pain/pins and needles in arms and legs resulting from 'trapped nerves'
Benefits
I offer a friendly professional service with full explanations in comfortable, pleasant surroundings. I am also recognised as a treatment provider with BUPA, PPP and other insurance companies.
Osteopathy provides gentle treatment for all ages.
Over the years I have gained a wealth of clinical experience enabling me to accurately assess patients and provide appropriate, effective treatment. The diagnosis and proposed treatment are fully explained and patients advised regarding self-help such as exercises.
Appointments
I see clients at The Cornmill on Wednesday mornings. An initial consultation lasts approximately 45 minutes and consists of taking a case history, examination and treatment. Further appointments last approximately 30 minutes. On Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays I see patients at my other practice located on the A264 between Felbridge and Copthorne, Surrey. The telephone number there is 01342 712764.
